Our homemade hot sauce from heirloom fish peppers. Savory and pungent with a hefty kick! Hotter than most Louisiana-style hot sauces, this is made with homegrown fish peppers grown by Planted Chicago in Bronzeville. A heritage crop of African Americans from the Tidewater, fish peppers get their name from the flamboyant variegation and stripes on the peppers as they ripen. Not quite as hot as cayennes, they come in at 40-60,000 Scoville. This hot sauce is made with only spring water, salt, and time! 3 ounce bottle. Homemade pepper jelly made from Corno di Toro peppers, a mild, sweet chili from Italy. A treat on biscuits or cornbread, it's also fantastic on crackers with cheese, or as a glaze for grilled chicken, pork, or ham. This jelly has a vibrant, assertive pepper flavor but is only mildly spicy, with a little "kick" on the finish. 9 ounce jar will look great in gift baskets or on your pantry shelf.
One of the finest pepper jellies we have ever made, this features Espelette peppers homegrown for us by Seedling Orchard in South Haven, Michigan. Espelettes are a hot pimiento native to the basque region, with wonderful pepper fruit character and a smoky spice. This jelly is hot but not excessively so, perfect for the spicy food lover. Great on biscuits or cornbread, crackers with cheese, or as a glaze for roast or grilled chicken, pork, or duck. The 9-ounce jar will look great in a gift basket or in your pantry.
